OK, wait a minute.  August isn't over yet, and I don't see anything about September up there. What gives?

As far as my exercise goes, August ended before 8AM on the 21st.  I haven't done anything since then, and don't plan to today or tomorrow.  As for September, I'm not setting any specific goals, at least not yet. I'm pretty much waiting to talk to the surgeon and see what he says.

My hope is that he'll give me a green light to start walking again, although I'm certain I'll be much slower and do shorter distances than before.  It will take a while to get back to that point.

I do have to confess, the thought of walking again does make me a little nervous. I fell, hard, two times in less than two months!  What is my problem?

As for how I did in August, I'm quite satisfied with my progress. As for September, I will get going again.  This has slowed me down, but it will not stop me.

Will it make you feel better -- even a little bit -- if I tell you I stumbled today while walking across the (broken) bridge over the creek, and I grabbed stinging nettle to save myself from falling? Stupid instinct!

The hands and arms have been caked with aloe, soda/water, benadryl, pick'em... since this afternoon! ;)

Ha, yes, sorry, but that does actually make me feel a little bit better!
