stream of consciousness

7:29AM
stupid blister really hurts . . . hope the bandaid didn't come off when I put my shoe on . . . I'm walking so unevenly; swing those arms, get a good stride going! . . . I don't want to do the whole loop this morning . . . maybe I'll just stay in this part of the neighborhood . . . I'm already ahead of schedule for how far I've gone . . . come on, stop thinking about it and just do it! cross that street! . . . should I add flour to the spinach pie for dinner? It'll be less like a quiche then, and more calories . . . I hope that spinach is still good . . . when I get back I need to get zucchini bread going right away so it has time to cook before we go see Dad . . . absolutely nobody knows me better . . . it's a good thing there aren't any side streets here, because I would so cut this short today . . . what's that truck doing there? great, now I have to walk in the middle of the street . . . there's four trucks--what are they doing? . . . reach up, smack that stop sign! . . . gah, the sun is up too high! ah, there's some shade . . . what am I going to blog about today? hm, if I just do all this rambling garbage that runs through my head, it doesn't have to be coherent or even make sense . . . someone's walking toward me--oh, I recognize her . . . (smile) "Morning." . . . what's that smell? oh, someone got their driveway tarred--yuck . . . I wonder if I'll see a deer again . . . say Hey I be gone today But I be back around the way . . . the light's red; no whammies, no whammies, STOP! . . . nope, didn't work, but there aren't any cars coming . . . ugh, feels like I have zombie legs this morning!. . . maybe I'll take tomorrow off; nope, I said I'd walk every day of August . . . why would I make such a stupid goal? . . . one more block . . . maybe I should do a little running? NO . . . get the keys out . . . ahhhhhhhh

That's not exactly what goes through my head every morning when I walk, but it's pretty close to today. Also, I'd never seen that Sugarland video before (who am I kidding--I haven't seen videos for most of the recent songs I hear), and it's hilarious! The lime green station wagon with the fake wood paneling is what really elevates it.
