Halloween is about a month away, and I haven't started sewing yet. Remember the Week of Crazy Sewing of 2006? Sub out the word Week with Month and we're good to go.
Sarah is very into Steampunk lately, and she wants the coat from Simplicity 2172, which has some really strange pockets and about 3256 pieces. I have the pattern pieces cut out, have read the directions exactly 14 times, and have some old fabric to use as practice.
Lauren is still big into Pokemon and wants a trainer's winter look. This amounts to a double breasted pea coat, but quite short. I'm planning to shorten Simplicity 2534. I've looked at the instructions exactly 8 times, but haven't cut anything out yet, or even figured out what kind of fabric to use.
I have a couple hours to get a little work in before I go get some coffee with friends, then maybe a little more tonight. I'm going to be right by JoAnn's tomorrow and there's a good sale, so I'll try to pick up some final fabric then, as well as whatever trim I might need.
