Well . . . kind of.
Monday was a very busy day. We left the house at 9:30, ran an errand for my Dad, had annual checkups for both girls, dropped off Girl Scout cookies to my sister, visited my Dad and looked through a mountain of old pictures, went to Lego Robotics, and then got home by 6:30. Schoolwork was light that day. We had tomato soup (made early that morning and reheated when we got home) and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. No exercise.
Yesterday was a busy day. Schoolwork in the morning, then I took Lauren and a friend to another friend's house to work on Girl Scout stuff. I stopped to get groceries on the way home, had lunch & did more schoolwork with Sarah. Then we picked up Lauren & the friend and went back to the friend's house to ooh and aah over her new baby sister. Then we picked up a friend from Sarah's Girl Scout troop and her mom and went down to the library so the girls could go camping with the troop. Dropped friend's mom back at her house, then came home to finish schoolwork with Lauren. Pot roast for dinner. I had potatoes, rutabaga, onions & carrots in with it, but I also baked some sweet potatoes and roasted a little cauliflower. We have lots of leftovers in the refrigerator today. Exercise was a half hour of Free Step on the Wii after dinner.
Today, I don't have to leave the house, at least until after dinner, when we'll head out to Lent service at church. There's still a lot to do, of course. Two of Lauren's friends are coming over to hang out and work on writing their plays. I'm sure they'll also get some time in on the Wii and in the basement. Schoolwork for Lauren before & after that. I want to roast some almonds, and--as long as I've got the oven heated up--make granola and meringues. I also have to make a bunch of phone calls, and get some exercise. Dinner will be beef and noodles, left over from last night, although I'll probably have beef & barley myself.
Guess I'd better go get dressed!
