Just a quick "hi" so everyone knows I didn't fall down a well or something.
We've been so busy lately, it's nuts. Sarah had a Brownie/Girl Scout overnight carnival last Friday (I got to go, too!), and then choir practice Sat, and both girls went to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese on Sunday.
This week is being dominated by sewing Easter dresses. When I originally got the pattern, I really wanted to do one of the more complicated options, but now I'm glad I couldn't find coordinating fabric. Aside from the zippers, they should go together in a flash.
I also have to (FINALLY) take in my paperwork for the German class I started teaching, so I can get paid. We so need the money; I can't believe I've put it off so long. I like teaching German again, but I feel a little out of my depth sometimes.
As for my computer classes, that's just a mess. They still don't have the lab up and running (they moved to a different building), so there's no way of knowing if I'll be able to teach any time soon. I've complained about them so much for so long, but it's really hard to walk away from the money and the schedule that works so well for us.
Lauren is starting her Gym class today. We tried her in Sarah's baseball practice last week, but she just wasn't that interested. Almost all the kids were at least a few years older than she, and she really doesn't have the focus to practice hitting, catching, throwing. Sarah seemed to have a good time, though. Gym is more for smaller kids, with tag, follow the leader, and basic hand/eye coordination. Should be perfect for her, but now we have classes for the kids four days a week. That is right on the brink of being overscheduled, which I always said I wanted to avoid.
Oh, and we started cleaning out the basement. I'm finally ready to get rid of the baby stuff (except for the crib, because that converts to a toddler bed and then we can use the headboard when Lauren grows out of that), so we're in the process of getting it all up to the garage. The big question now is whether to donate it or have a garage sale. If I didn't have such a laundry list of projects that require $$$ staring at me, I'd happily donate it and take the tax credit. As it is, I'm willing to do some work to get a couple hundred bucks. Wish me luck!
